EMPOWERING PEOPLE

We believe the best way to help people is to do things with them, not for them.

Our primary resource is relationship.  To some degree, people are in poverty because of what they know and who they know.  By building relationships of trust, we help people get access to tools that will help them become self-sustaining.

We provide one-on-one mentoring through Navigators who help people get connected to existing resources.

Because not everyone “qualifies” for existing resources, we provide resources to those with whom we have relationships. For instance, we provide gas cards to help people get to work, to substance use treatment, and other appointments. We provide funds to help people further their education or training including such things as work clothes, textbooks, or laptops.

Because we know the people we’re working with, we don’t require a lot of paperwork or verification, things which themselves can be a barrier to people who need resources.
